NORTH PALM BEACH — My college club pal Suzanne is used to the finer things in life. While she’s not a diva, she dresses like one; with her flow caftan, bold jewelry and embroidered flats, she fit right in at The Clubhouse alongside its many posh guests. You can dress more casually as some post-golfers did, but it feels like a Sunday best spot.
The space is gorgeous and the online photos of the dining rooms don’t do it justice. Though it feels like a million dollar experience, you can eat very well for about $35 per person or feast like a queen for $40.
We split tiny tasty Peking duck tacos to start. For our mains that we swapped halfway through, a plump chicken club sandwich and a Cobb salad. Again, the bread was too think to truly eat it as a sandwich, but the contents between the bread were way above average, especially the bird and the bacon. While I’d happily get the Cobb salad again, there are numerous menu items tempting my palate, so I’ll likely try something else.
Also note, the reservation was made under an alias email I use, but a thank you from the restaurant’s general manager was sent a day after. A first class touch.
